The Next Opal Museum - Geoff’s Vision
To move the Opal Museum into a purpose-built multi-million dollar building that will accommodate up to ten-thousand visitors every year.
This very basic 3D walkthough is a very basic example of the future museum, I have kept it simple as we keep working on the layout. Once we've purchased the property we'll do version 3. Closely followed by version 4. Stay tuned!

It will entertain, educate and wow all who venture inside.
The three main objectives of the museum…
1) To give the city of Brisbane a world class tourist attraction - rated in the top 10 ‘things to do in Brisbane’.
2) To significantly grow the opal industry and in turn help local and regional townships connected with opal mining also grow (including Indigenous communities).
3) To be profitable business that will always be willing to make creative mistakes in an effort to make the museum experience better.
So when will it be completed?

Here are the steps I will be taking.
Step 1) Complete a strong business plan based on facts and figures. Projections.
Step 2) Research all possible fundraising strategies until I have 20 possible options.
Step 3) Decide on the three most likely to succeed.
Step 4) Work out the Restructuring of the company based on which of the three is successful.
Step 5) Make a plan for each of the three fundraising plans. Work out the steps required for each one.
Step 6) Work simultaneously all three fundraising plans.
Step 7) Secure the Funds.
I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE FUNDS SECURED BY THE END OF 2019
Step 8) Buy property
Step 9) Redesign the building plans
Step 10) Get a high quality builder and start the building.
I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE OPAL MUSEUM BUILDING BUILT BY THE END OF 2020.
